Although I see more of a Nintendo and Apple Pairing (Nintepple shipping anyone?!). I mean uhh, business conglomeration. A Sony and Apple console could be very devastating. I've always believed the hardest market for Sony to appeal to as it stands right now is the Casual Group. The group that Nintendo has been able to firmly grasp within' the palm of it's hand.

If Sony and Apple made a joint effort on a Console, With Apple focusing heavily on the Casual Side of the Console. While Sony focused more heavily on the Hardcore side of the console. You could have a very devastating weapon that potentially could defeat Microsoft or Nintendo with ease.

Although from past history, I cannot imagine Sony and Apple getting along very well at all.

As long as Apple got rid of 90% of Sony's higher ups, it more than likely would work. I wouldn't mind having an Apple TV, I bet it would be very pleasing to the eyes.

As for a gaming rig, it would also be fairly appealing to me. I don't know how much money I would be willing to pay for it though. I sure as shit wouldn't want any kind of PS3 prices involved. Keep it around $300-$350 for its launch price and it would probably rock out.

Apple + Sony = iPS costing $1500.
Apple + Sony = App Store
Apple + Sony = Ads concentrating on RROD of the 360 (current apple ads againt windows)
Apple + Sony = Huge drop in market share
Apple + Sony = Quality Xbox 720 hardware
Apple + Sony = Nintendo & MS Win
Apple + Sony = Pink colored iPS
Apple + Sony = iPhone / iTouch controllers for the iPS

It would be good. Though they are in fact in competition in all the hardware apple makes, they could work together. iTunes working with walkman will boost Apple's iTunes sales, though may hurt hardware.

The interesting thing would be a PSP Go! with App store compatibility. It would help Apple expand their app store, and probably help Sony's sales. Apple TV on the PS3 would also be pretty good

It just seems like they'd work well off each other. Sony is good at making good products that cost way too much, and Apple is good at convincing people to pay too much. Both are (supposedly) known for quality and reliability. I think they could both expand a lot of their current projects off one anothers assets.

Not to mention, they're both in strong competition with Microsoft.  

PS3 uses the FATS file system just like macs so Ipods and PS3's successfully mate!! Apple could buy up EA and make sure that no NFL games go to MS systems EVERRRR!!!!!
