Forums - Sony - Do you think that people are wrong about InFamous?

I think in-Famous sounds ridiculous, so I call it Infamous (in-fuh-mus)

It's in-fa-mus

Not in-fuh-mus

i rarely use capitalization, so i dont pay much attention to it... i have been saying the word correctly. but the spelling really could lead people to say it differently.

I think that people who say it the 2nd way should be banned.

Actually the vowel phoneme articulated in the second syllable of Infamous (represented as "ʌ" in IPA) is more correctly represented by the sound associated with "uh" than "a".

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

I say In-fa-mus.

It doesn't really matter, when I go to buy my copy I'll just point at the the case.

I say inFamous

I say inFamous

4 ≈ One

It's pronounced like the typical word "infamous" The only reason the F is capitalized (and in actuality, the entire portion of the word "famous" is capitalized) is to make the distinction that you can be either famous or infamous.

Which is stupid, because in the game you actually become either Legendary or Infamous.
