I understand the movie thing, but that doesn't change the fact that the game will still sell crap. Fallout 3 was found to be, overall superior on the 360 when compared to the PS3 version, by the reviews. This movie is complete proof that Sony is using the videogame industry to bring relevance to their dwindling electronics brand.

I was referring to the DLC from Fallout 3. I've heard not so many great things about it since it came out. If we're going by reviews, I'm not sure how well justified the 360 exclusive DLC is.
I was referring to the actual game.
weird. I wasn't. I was referring to the moneyhatting that probably went down for the DLC. I don't have proof so whatever.
There is one thing that is for sure this gen. When DLC is exclusive or superior, moneyhatting is invloved.
As for the movie thing, dwindling electronics brand? It might be but putting a movie and game on the same blu-ray will be cheaper then producing 2 seperate blu-ray discs or products that may or may not sell.
Sony without the gaming division would've been a dwindling brand. Their marketshare is a hell of a thing. Putting a movie and game on Blu Ray isn't cheap at all. Sony wanted to make the Blu Ray version of the Ghosbusters movie relevant.
Yet again, it fascinates me to think that you feel you have any knowledge of how much it costs to put 2 different things on 1 blu-ray yet completely ignore the process it would take to market, package and create the blu-ray discs seperately. I'm assuming that the Ghostbuster game is going to come with the movies automatically. On a side note, I'm sure they will still release the Ghostbusters Blu-Ray by itself but the one with the game and the movie would win over some people who have both the PS3 and 360 or PS3 and Wii. I still don't see the point of pushing back the release date, which is the whole point of this thread, not really the relevance of Ghostbusters on this generation. But it's hard to argue with somebody who is so stuck on their own opinion. "Yes. Putting 1 thing on a blu-ray is hard but two things! That's madness and expensive!"
I have no gripe with putting the game on two discs. It's cheaper. I was saying putting anything on Blu Ray isn't cheap at all. I don't know if it's a two disc set at all.
Where are you getting the idea that it will sell like crap? I really don't think you know how this game will sell because this is one of those games that's popularity is actually up in the air.Nobody actually knows if the Ghostbuster series is dead, dying or waiting to be revitalized...We have no current Ghostbusters trends to compare it to. All we have is a hyped game, and a blu-ray release of the series. Just because you don't care about the game doesn't mean that nobody else does.
If you doubt what i'm saying, show me the demographic in which Ghostbusters is focused on.
The Ghostbusters are focused on the nostalgia. Much like Inspector Gadget was in the 90's focused at those who grew up on the 80's tv show to introduce the idea to a younger generation in hope that those parents will share the idea to their children. Of course the hype behind this game has absolutely NOTHING to do with the recently announced new Ghostbusters movie which was announced earlier at a movie convention. e.e
Nostalgia wont save Ghostbusters. Nostaglia couldn't even save the Ninja Turtles (Which was a bigger hit back then) videogames which sold like crap, even in the face a new movie.
