Just out of curiosity, why do people keep buying pokemon games? I played it up until gold, but I didn't bother with the series after that.

As far as I know, the gameplay mechanics is more or less the same, right? (Beating gyms, win the master league). Just another set of new pokemons each time. Is there anything completely new in each iteration of the series?

I don't care what kind of animal they are, point is, they remind me a lot of they predecessor. I dunno what the hell is a starling, but I see Starly and I can't help to think "this is Pigdey with a coat of paint". And I get the same with every other Pokemon I listed, and probably more. I just think they're running out of ideas. With gen 1 and 2, the Pokemon felt fresh, and thus the games were memorable, now it seems like they're rehashing them and keep the old, tried, true but also stale formula to keep launching games. I think the series is in need either a complete makeover (which, with how things look like, it's impossible). Since that won't happen, at least a remake of the best game will be good, since here I won't be disappointed when things are TOO MUCH THE SAME

And for Farfetch'd's evo or pre, don't cherry pick, but just wait till the next gen, you'll probably see it there anyway

Why do people want a gold/silver remake? I know they are amazing but wouldn't you rather a totally new pokemon game?

Yeah, it's my opinion, so what? You're welcome to disagree, I've presented my opinion and justified it as I could. I don't see what's wrong with that

Problem is, what would a "totally new pokemon game" mean? If it's a complete revamp, yes, give me, if it's the amount of changes from R/S to D/P, give me a remake instead

God I would love a remake of silver/gold - I will buy first day if it is so.



Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.
