My suspiscion is that they're just made up based on what Media Create and Famitsu publish.  If they used their own independent samples, there's no way the numbers would always come out so close to the others.

I think they actually make sth like this:

media create + famitsu / 2. And they post that, but im not sure.

what do you really care. i could care less how accurate vgchartz is. if there off by a few thousand or even 10 thousand here or there whatever.

i just like seeing rough numbers of wii 50 mil, ps3 22 mil ect. and members here also search the interent for gaming new and videos/pics ect and post them here. makes it easy for me, i don't have to go looking but just check here

I think it's dishonest if they're posted under the guise of independent numbers.

Couldn't that same thing happen if all the numbers were fairly accurate and close to the true value of sales for that week?

So you take two other reliable sales reporters, and then say that if VGChartz is close to them, VGC must be dishonest?

Wouldn't it be weird if VGC had extremely different numbers from the other two? That would be case to raise alarm, but what you just pointed out makes no sense.
