Finally, fanboys discover the truth, a title can provide a good gaming experience without having to be a graphic powerhouse.

MAG looks fine consider the early nature of the build and the core premise - 256 players online. To be honest if the final retail looks like the trailer and is 30fps with 256 players I'll be impressed.
Look at the average number of players on PS3/360 MP titles. This is a huge jump. You can't just magically go 'I'll have KZ2 visuals plus netcode and engine to handle 256 live players all doing stuff at the same time' it's just not possible.
I see no way how PS3 (or 360 for that matter) could support 256 players without the game taking a graphics hit.
If you want something that looks like KZ2/Gears 2 (or better) and 256 players I'd say you're talking about a high end PC and dedicated servers.
My only two concerns for the game are:
1) is is fun to play? does the major battle concept work?
2) is it stable - i.e. framerate, graphics and response well balanced to support a pleasant experience
I'm sure 2) can be achieved without the thing looking like dogshit - the big question I'd say is still 1).
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
fun to play? This is a game we are talking about clearly that has no presidence in the matter.
Thing is, previewers (ie. people who have actually played it) have mentioned that the graphics are pretty good. One previewer said it's about on level with COD4, which is bad by no means.
I honestly don't trust those ugly screenshots that've been leaked. We don't know the source of them, how far into development they were, or anything at all about them, really.

The J man respects zipper for their vision and what they are trying to do but its absolutly true that MAG isnt on par (graphically) with other games this game. Many games from back in 2007 wipe the floor with MAG in graphics.
The J man isnt asking for graphics that will be nominated for "best graphics" but at least competent graphics that wont look borderline last gen and the J man hopes zipper can deliver this with their vision.
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!
It looks functional... that is the best I can say, but Sony has been spoiling us with the already released Killzone 2 and Uncharted Drake's Fortune, and with God of War III and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves looking even better, MAG does just look unimpressive when you put it next to the others. Hopefully it's gameplay will be great, because already have Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2 to play online, hopefully Insomniac won't spoil us even more with Ratchet and Clank a Crank in Time multiplayer
