Yeah it's like a sports team that's gone undeafted all season long and the guys on the team decided to go out to a strip club the night before a game and it shows on game day. 

Sometimes you need a kick in the butt to get it back together. 

It'll be good for Nintendo in the long run I think. They can focus in again on Japan, because the Wii and DS are on cruise control in Europe and North America pretty much. 

With FF13 and a price cut PS3 has a chance, but I'd still say its probably like a 30% chance. Wii and PS3 software is pretty equally matched, but I think FF13 will be the edge PS3 needs to win that fight. That said, I still think wii will win but PS3 will give it a good fight and certainly has a shot of taking the crown. Though it should be mentioned that the very fact that were talking about PS3 outselling the Wii shows just how far the dynamics have shifted.

Wii most likely but if ps3 can sell 2 million i think thats great.

I don't think we'll see the slim PS3 until next year.

The PS3 won't sell more than 2 million in the year, I can guarantee you that.

The Wii will be incredibly lucky if it passes 2 million, but it is possible for it to do so (just)

I think both will be quite close to be honest,... about the 1.3-1.7 million mark. Both dismal.

Wii easily.

They are about equal YTD now, with StreetFighter 4, Yakuza 3, Resident Evil 5, Mosou and the FFXIII demo for PS3.

Wii has:

Wii Sports Resort
Monster Hunter 3
Samurai Warriors 3
Tales of Graces
And the inevitable big holiday title

And some small JRPGs that should keep up the sales, like Arc Rise Fantasia, Little King's Story, Kizuna and Valhalla Knights

I'm sure both Nintendo and Sony will have something to mix things up.

Wii Fit Plus is coming this year (at least in Japan), I'd bet dollars to donughts on it. 

That leaked European Wii release list had Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort listed and it had the right release date for Wii Sports Resort even though Nintendo hadn't announced a date yet. That gives it credibility, besides really who couldn't see Wii Fit Plus coming from 10 miles away?

Sony's only big title is GT5, which will sell consoles, but most likely won't release this year. For Nintendo I expect Pikmin3 + WiiFitPlus.

Really, PS3 doesn't have a chance. It doesn't need to, it's doing very good right now. You can't compare it to Wii, which until recently was on PS2 track and still is only a few weeks away despite the biggest gaming drought ever seen for a winning console.
