Who will sell more in 2009 for Japan, PS3 or Wii?

They are about equal YTD now, with StreetFighter 4, Yakuza 3, Resident Evil 5, Mosou and the FFXIII demo for PS3.

Wii has:

Wii Sports Resort
Monster Hunter 3
Samurai Warriors 3
Tales of Graces
And the inevitable big holiday title

And some small JRPGs that should keep up the sales, like Arc Rise Fantasia, Little King's Story, Kizuna and Valhalla Knights

PS3 has left:

Final Fantasy XIII

...
End of Eternity
Tales of Vesperia (port)

I'm sure both Nintendo and Sony will have something to mix things up.

 

Sony's only big title is GT5, which will sell consoles, but most likely won't release this year. For Nintendo I expect Pikmin3 + WiiFitPlus.

Really, PS3 doesn't have a chance. It doesn't need to, it's doing very good right now. You can't compare it to Wii, which until recently was on PS2 track and still is only a few weeks away despite the biggest gaming drought ever seen for a winning console.
