That simple. They've had too much success in Japan the last 3-4 years and it was getting too easy for them, this is probably not a bad wake up call. 

I agree this is just what Nintendo needed

 

 

Yeah it's like a sports team that's gone undeafted all season long and the guys on the team decided to go out to a strip club the night before a game and it shows on game day. 

Sometimes you need a kick in the butt to get it back together. 

It'll be good for Nintendo in the long run I think. They can focus in again on Japan, because the Wii and DS are on cruise control in Europe and North America pretty much.
