Its a fairly established fact that its a spinoff. Let me put it this way; if Versus was actually called Final Fantasy 14, then it wouldn't be a spinoff. A spinoff is anything OTHER then a series mothership title. Something being a spinoff doesn't mean its bad, it just means its not a mothership title. Like FFX-2, or ToS: DotNW, those are spinoffs.

Yeah... they say they're treating both equally... but they put the V At the end of it.

Had they really wanted them to both be considered equal they should of named them both.

Square-Enix announcement is very likely but Final Fantasy related is actually not because Square-Enix's two main projects now should be completing Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. If there is one, I suspect that making Final Fantasy XIII available to the 360 in Japan would be most logical from Microsoft's standpoint. Of course, making Final Fantasy Versus XIII multiplatform would be a nice bonus. However, a strong consideration why the latter is irrational optimism is that most of the newer Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailers confirm this game to be a PS3 exclusive worldwide.

Tales of announcement is not probable since the last one was not even a month ago, but something from Namco Bandai is not exactly out of the question.

I do not know how post Itagaki Tecmo feels about the 360. However, they had a few projects that were not canceled for the 360. It is about time we hear if they plan to continue them.

I would not count on MGS4 Substance because it seems like Kojima was angry about Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance enough to make explicit anti-Microsoft segments and advertisements in MGS4.

Maybe something from NIS or Sega, but I have some reservations.

I am somewhat doubtful about the 360 getting new IPs. There just have not been enough from Japanese developers for me to think otherwise.

I believe Kingdom Hearts 3 coming to 360 -> Final Fantasy XIII 360 launching the same day as Final Fantasy XIII PS3 in Japan -> Final Fantasy Versus XIII coming to 360 in that order.

Kingdom Hearts 3 has not been announced so platforms can be contested.

Yoichi Wada announced himself that Final Fantasy XIII 360 will not be released in Japan due to their evaluation of the 360's performance in Japan. Times and situations change. Therefore, they can change their minds if there is enough reason to.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been confirmed to be exclusive worldwide from recent trailers so any major changes is really just asking for trouble.

1) FFXIII V - Would just require porting.

2) KH3 - American based RPG

3) Would require delays i'd think.

Well, here something to think about. In the 1vs1, Greenburg stated that RPGs are a huge thing for them this generation, and getting the Japanese support with their games (mentioning Star Ocean in particular for Square Enix. But he didn't mention Vesperia :( ) are something they will contnue supporting.

Interpret that however. I hope he means JRPGs in particular. In b4 no Nippon Ichi personally; action RPG > Grindfest RPG.

      I just don't think they could announce anything any bigger than those three things.  Other comparable things they could announce would be a new game by Itagaki or an exclusive by Kojima.  It would be funny if they announced No More Heroes 360.
