Forums - Sony - Hindus urge Sony to withdraw Hanuman game

Its strange that this guy Rajan Zed is staying in the US, enjoying all the amenities of modern western life but still wants to stop kids in India from playing a video game with a character thats part of Indian culture.
What I hate about organized religion and religious demagogues is how they appropriate what belongs to everyone and start dictating others on how to live their lives.

They pissed off muslims with LBP.

Now Hindus with this?

But they went through the trouble (and money) to fix what happened

Which made muslims respect them even more.

And maybe they will answer the Hindus request too and earn more respect

didnt they just remove the song thinking that it  could be offending the muslims?

i can understand when people take offense if their religion is actually ridiculed. in a movie or song or game. but not  if they take offense just for a part of it being included at all ..

Were muslims actually pissed, or was it the assumption that they will be pissed?

Yeah, but Killer 7 hid the god vs god stuff over layer and layer of craziness.

Almost nobody even knows what's going on.

I mean....

I wish they would understand that no one who would be offended by the game is required to purchase it. The Japanese and many others dont seem upset when their mythologies are tapped for videogames (Okami etc.).

 this!!!

people as of late seem to make a huge deal out of nothing and deem it offensive. If you feel offended by the game dont buy it. Simple concept really

Eh.  I disagree though.

I mean make a game about Mohammad and... well...

Someone may just kill you.

Make a game about Jesus... and unless your wisdom tree... people will get upset.

Like me.  That game would be boring.  I mean what would it have QTE where you have to turn the other cheek at the exact right time?

Okami doesn't offend anyone because i don't think many people really believe in that stuff anymore do they?
