   Interesting how they made 40k ACC bundles whilst there only were 10k for Yakuza 3 and RE5.

   And still no clear info on how many copies has ACC sold. Two sources claim different things. And I'd like to know how many of copies sold were bundles with the demo, supposedly its about 70% of all of them.

It does surprise me.

I guess it's not nearly as limited as we thought!

I never expected the boost to go above 50k ps3.

I'm pretty sure now MH2G effect will not be enough to topple ps3 sales next week.

Maybe not, but it WILL still give the Wii a much-needed boost.

On VGC The 360 vs Wii difference went like this:

9.6k vs. 14.8k Last week

8.2k vs. 14.0k This week.

5,200 < 5,800

i.e. the gap between 360 and Wii grew from last week in Japan by about 600

Also, I just recieved updated preorder data through April 23 in Japan...I think the Monster Hunter 3 demo must have gone over well - Monster Hunter 3 preorders increased 20% from yesterday

@TheSource

We will have have the first day sales for both Killzone 2 and Monster hunter G tomorrow, any estimates as to how much you think they have done first day based on the data vgchartz has received so far?

I've never seen a shooter chart in the preorder data I get for Japan, since you tend to need 30,000 to be in the top twenty, and week one sales tend to 30% higher than final preorders. So I'd wager less than 30,000 for Killzone 2. It might do 20,000 since PS3 was so high on the demo last week, but I think since PS3 spiked to 57k it will actually drop back fairly fast, a bump to 30k, 35k would have lasted longer I imagine. In June 2008 PS3 went from 77k to 26k for MGS4 week one to MGS4 week two.

Monster Hunter G...Brett and I were discussing it earlier. It should do at least 88,000 week one based on the final preorder figures (assuming the MH3 disc didnt fuck up the scaling as it did with the FFXIII demo), and I'd call it a bomb if it did less than 45,000 day one (it will have legs). Brett was saying the franchise is much bigger than it used to be when the PS2 versions came out, so even if the PSP versions are to remain dominant (and they will) the Wii version of Monster Hunter G could top Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter G on PS2 which both did over 100k week one. Brett suggested the game could do 150,000, I think it will be more like 115,000-135,000 week one and ~70,000 to ~90,000 day one

So MGS4 was the highest point for the PS3? Nice info Source, how much did you think the Monster Hunter G bundle'll bump the Wii?

No, PS3 had a couple weeks in 2006 where it topped 77,000 units in Japan. But MGS4 was easily the best non-holiday week for PS3 in Japan.

It's kinda surprising that the 360 sales didn't collapse but stayed the same. I guess it found its own plateau.
