it would be nice if it did have a review section. it could be the starting point to a game being added onto the games database.

i would like to know what the current duties of the different mods are or wether the majority are there to just keep the threads clean.

There is a user review section, if that's what you mean.

according to http://alexa.com/siteinfo/vgchartz.com vgchartz is averaging about #8200 over the last few months with about 0.000824% of pageviews.

IGN (http://alexa.com/siteinfo/ign.com ) is at #240 with 0.02158% of pageviews.

so no. vgchartz isn't going to take out IGN anytime soon, but it is more than 4 times as high as gamesindustry.biz, twice as high as Gamasutra, about 1/3 of gamesradar and about 1/4 of joystiq and/or gamespy. Also, vgchartz's average rank has been increasing steadily for all the time I've been coming here (since July 07) when it was averaging about 12-14000.



Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

It sounds like you're suggesting that a web site's design is what decides it's popularity.

I hope not, IGN's design is god-awful.

Well when VGC 2.0 launches the list of thread topics will have to go from the front page. All the F_A_N_B_O_Y crap makes the site seem a lot more juvenile than it really is.



Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego. 

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

I meant proper reviews where we a mid may get the game before launch and put up a review. This way we won't need to go to ign or edge for scores. I think we are more likely to trust a vgcharts mods review than some other gaming site.

Since the main point of the site is charts, I think it would be nice if there was more of a breakdown within the regions. Like individual countris maybe that may have a big enough gaming population.

I don't think we will be seeing major changes though since all the mods live and work seperatly. There is no one office or work station it operates from. Maybe when the site starts cashing in we may see the bigger changes.

I think part of what keeps the majority of trolls out is the low membership count. If we become IGN size, very few things can stop us becoming IGN forum quality. We'll need a hell of a lot more mods.

As for VGC 2.0...when is that releasing? Date? Month? Even a year?
