lol i know some 15 year old that r total immature idiots.... and if they start drinking legally ... god help us.... i agree there r some cases where kids mature fast but not in the majority of cases.....and no one wants to put more control on it ... i think its fine where it is....

binge drinking is a huge problem here in the UK, as are alcohol related crimes, i think the best way to tackle that is through education and making it seem less taboo, like i said, people who are use to drinkning small amounts from a younger age are less likely to binge.

youre in the US, dont you have problems as well? if so, how is leaving it as it is gonna help at all?

Lowering the drinking age is not gonna help in any way...... if you can drink the same age you can drive think of whats that going to do.... if a 13 year old sees 16 year olds drinking do you serioustly think they r not going to want to do it to? And saying that if you start drinking at 8 years of age is gonna somehow stop you from binge drinking in the future is ridiculous....

if a 13 year old thinks that drinking in small amounts is ok, then they are less likely to binge, they wont see the point in doing so.

driving generally requires alot more skills than drinkning, to have a drink, all you need to do is get a glass and pour the liquid into it, to drive, you need to do alot more than that dont you?

It is legal to drink alcohol in a private place (ie your house) from the age of 5 in the UK.

1 part of my plan, we also need better education and lowering the legal age to 16 imo, only combining all thoose things will work.

I don't think any parent is giving there kids alcohol at the age of five because there is a massive taboo on it. It is a fact that introducing alcohol to a child at an early age reduces their chances of becoming a binge drinker or alcoholic later in life.
