Forums - Gaming - How to ruin a perfectly good FPS

Ninjakido and bobologna think along the same lines as me. :o)

i know you could change the weapons on time splitters goldeneye and perfect dark but my friends like them, which is highly unfortunate for me.

The greande launchers on games are usually one hit kill weapons, that have a large blast radius, and are touch floor detonation. In COD basically if you have a grenade launcher you can shoot the floor next to you, commit suicide and kill the other person. This basically lowers the other persons kill ratio and keeps your stable.

I find them very cheap, especially with the wiimote, you can practically aim without looking:o(.

You should adapt to your environment.

If that means get good at dodging grenades, so be it.

If you came at me with a grenade launcher in GoldenEye, you'd take some Klobbage to your dome, for insult points.

(I love grenade launchers.)

I hate them because of cod4..... my cousin abused the shit.... and when I played with him the health ABSOLUTELY MUST BE ON miniscule or he'll bitch... Even though he wouldn't even shoot until he used up his two grenades...

I still kicked his ass all the time though.

4 ≈ One

I'm not taking a stand on one way or the other, but as you mentioned the more realism seeking games, you do understand that grenade and rocket launchers are actual weapons used in warfare?

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

If there were a dodge button on COD i would be using it:) but i mainly play on team hardcore, so when you have 4 coming at you at the same time it gets kind of hard.

+oh dont worry come at me with the Klobb and ill have my DD44 Dostovei and a happy slappy ready for you pink behind.

In the 2 (kind of 3 as I assume TS2 is similar to TS1) games from the OP that I have played.... I agree, it's often pretty easy to avoid most grenades.... in fact if you are god at dodging and you have a decent counter-weapon you can hurt them more than they hurt you.

However the Klobb was a useless weapon, I'm all about the Soviet, or the silenced deutche [possible spelling mistake]

The Rocket launcher was a big issue for lots of people in Return to Castle Wolfenstein. And don't forget the 50.cal sniper rifle in Raibow Six 3 for X-box.

I am well aware of greande launchers being used in warfare Mr condescending!

The main problem is the imbalance that comes with them.

In these games you can run with a gun and not hit shit, run with a greande launcher and shoot and its insta-kill.

In my opinion the whole point in have a variety of weapons is that they are all well balanced. Hey maybe thats just me.

I think this is being brought up mainly because of Call of Duty though. If you play the the newest games, you'll know what's it's like to hate grenade launchers. Also you are thinking of a rocket launcher, which isn't the same. The grenade launchers in COD are attached to your rifle, so your speed stays fine and you don't even remotely need to hit someone to get a kill. If a rocket wizzes by you in COD you die just for being too close to where the rocket is shooting past. It can explode 400 feet behind you and you still die. That is where the problem lies. It doesn't require you to be hit or even be caught in the explosion for you to die.

In CoD games, there is absolutely NO skill required for kills with the Grenade Launcher.
