I guess this means the PS3 generated more hardware revenue this week. Of course that means nothing without profits but still.....

is it over for the 360 i mean the ps3 is double the price in NA and more than double in EU but the WW difference is now less than 6k
i cant wait for the 300$ ps3 this fall i dont think the 360 will stand a chance as a matter of fact the ps3 might not even need the cut
Wii also not looking good at this pace it may never reach 50%

Adjustments were made, people really jumping the bangwagon here and letting the crazy out.
| nightsurge said: I seriously want a solid explanation for the adjustments. I just looked back over the last month and instead of the PS3 leading one week, it lead for 2 straight, and then instead of a 30-50k lead on the 360's part, it was dropped to 3-20k lead per week. |
As more sales data comes in, their numbers become more accurate. Most likely they recieved additional data that showed the 360/PS3 gap for the previous month in NA was closer than they had initially expected. They went back and corrected their numbers to match the new data.
This happens quite often, but not normally this big of an adjustment.

Would that happen to be the Killzone 2 week and the following week?
As I said originally, the game released on a Friday and only included 2-days worth of sales. As I also said a while ago, chances are that the game would still move consoles the following week as well.
Also take into consideration that 360 hasn't really been announcing much of anything while we have had numerous announcments from not just Sony but from various 3rd party developers. To go along with this we also had two previous 360 exclusives (NG2 and ToV) get announced for 2009 release on the PS3.
Or maybe it is just a lingering KZ2 effect.
I could be completely wrong though and just like you I would like some info from The Source.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Wow, the Wii dropped a lot. I wonder why. That reminds me, I saw a whole bunch of Wii's at the Target in Albany, CA (bay area east bay).

Regardless the PS3 is doing extremely well at the moment.

Wait getting outsold by the competition, losing marketshare, losing money and all the profit generated by the PS2 and PSP, decrease in YOY sales and all this after crushing the competition in the previous generations(PS1/2) is good???
I thought April fools was last week??
And how do ppl expect a $100 price cut??? Did SONY make a huge profit from the games division last quarter???

It cant afford one
Wow at the ps3 vs. 360.
...maybe consumers confused the ps2 price drop for the ps3. ;)
well if a $200 console sells the same as a $400 console with the same games i'm forced to conclude people value blu-ray at $200...or something like that.

That's the price of a standalone player, I think, hah. The PS3's still the best in that regard though.
