A message from someone at GoNintendo.com
"There’s obviously more going on here than we’re getting - people are just up in arms as usual to scream expletives at Reggie and Nintendo of America (Which people seem to be cherry-picking reasons to do these days, and hunting explicitly for justifications to do so), instead of asking more questions when in this case, it’s obvious that questions should be asked.
Should we raise a stink about wanting this game? Absolutely. If we make enough noise, they’ve shown that they will respond, and with Tecmo interested in localizing the game, if we make it clear to Nintendo that we want the title, it’s doubtless that some kind of deal could be reached to bring the title here.
But slinging around hyperbole and acting like a bunch of children isn’t an effective way to make an argument for the game, nor to be taken seriously in our desire for a North American release for this game.
In short, calm down - the petition’s a good start, we just need to work on constructive means of getting NoA’s attention, like the Mother fanbase has. Stop being so mindlessly negative and screaming at the drop of a hat. You’re not doing anyone any favors with your melodramatic overreactions. If anything, the contradictory messages between NoA and Tecmo show the need to strike up a dialogue between the two - there are better ways we can encourage that than throwing tantrums on the internet, as so many are wont to do on this blog at the drop of a hat."
Petitions MIGHT be able to do something.
