I would say GTA4 and OoT. The best Zelda game is the first one on the NES.

Well this is an interesting topic of choice. I believe that Halo was overrated, so was GTA San Andreas and GTA 4 (It got perfect scores from IGN for crying out loud) but the two that annoyed me the most were FF7 and The Legend of Zelda: OoT. FF7 was not, is not, and will never be the best RPG game ever made. Any hardcore rpg fan knows that. Does it really deserve all of those spinoffs and a movie? No. Chrono Trigger is better. And OoT. Dont get me wrong, its fun. Who doesnt love using young Link. But being the highest rated game of all time? Come on Super Mario Galaxy is more perfect than that, i mean how many companies can create platforming masterpieces nowadays? Not many. But oh well im sure the next Wii Zelda will be the best in the series.

Zelda and MGS. I thought Halo was over rated at one point but then I realized its actually one of the best FPS series.

Halo definately. It's a B movie (if nicely done B movie) story that's treated as though its a modern epic that serves do deliver a great shooting/online experience. But the reverence for the backstory, etc. and how Halo 3 was marketed as if the title and its characters were worthy of mythic status was just so overrated and overblown.

Also, while its a great shooters its not that great, and every entry in the series has shown major issues - from the terrible Library level of the first, the mis-handled story and dual protagonists of the second to the rushed feeling of the the third.  But then it's clear that over time Halo has become about the MP and the idea of the story rather than what's actually in the SP campaign.

But hey, sometimes something has to be very very good to be truly massively overrated, so its not that bad right?

The most overratted games of all time are ones i have never played...but have others told me that they are and also I saw it in forums....so i must be right
