Viper1 said: If Nibris was a scam, don't you think NOA and Frontline Studios (the initial publishers of Sadness) would have said something? |
First of all, no, I highly doubt Frontline would say anything because the fact that they were duped makes them look like clowns.
And second, of course NoA wouldn't acknowledge it because Nibris doesn't have development hardware and unless you can link me a picture proving that Nibris isn't using a pirated DS rom to run code, then I see no reason to believe otherwise.
Look, I've personally spoken to the guy in charge of getting new Wii developers set up and running because I was interested in WiiWare development, and I mentioned Nibris to him and he had never heard of them (but he had heard of BPlus who is also in Europe).
I'm pretty damn certain that Nibris is either an outright scam or a case where a couple wannabe developers thought that posting a lot of concept art and ideas all over the place would somehow help them get developer status.
Bottom line, cross Sadness off of your anticipated lists until Nibris releases something proving that they're not just a concept art studio with some pirate DS hardware.
"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks
