^^^ Well, they DID spend 25 million dollars on the game so if this title flops then they are in trouble. They need to sell at least 400k copies to break even (not counting the licensing, packaging, publishing and other fees).

They'll have to sell a lot more than 400k to break even... You have to factor in the $12 or so Sony gets for licensing, the money it costs to print and distribute, retailers share, etc... I doubt Factor 5 clears much more than $30 per copy when all is said and done.

I swear, I usually don't take this much enjoyment out of a game doing this poorly, but the past few days Lair has been like a car accident you just can't look away from. you would think if they had any common sense they would just let the game die in peace, but I guess that just isn't their style.

You seem to enjoy anything that is negative about Sony, so I have to disagree with your claim.

So what we're suppossed ignore every tragedy that befalls Sony but let you and the other Sony fanboys rip apart anything that goes wrong for Nintendo or MS until the cows come home?

Yeah, pretty much the case.

So when ever anything bad happens to Nintendo i will start a thread and start bashing Nintendo and the developer that made the game, and since the mods find it ok to bash Sony and factor 5 in this thread i would expect the same for my nintendo thread. Thats good to know, because i saw a wii game on Reviews on the Run today get a 1.5 and say it was the worst game ever made, right up with Superman on the 64. Once i find the site i'll post it.

Is that game supposed to be the game that defines the Wii? No. Was Lair suppossed to be the game that defined the PS3? Yes. You're just being spiteful and childish now, knock it off, don't act like this is a mods hate Sony conspiracy, both Sony and Factor5 had this comming. Sorry you don't have the thickness of skin to stand by your decision in a video game console and instead have to try and make everyone stop reminding you about the truth like a kid with hurt feelings. Sony trolls run a muck on this website more than any other group when the atmosphere is right yet the second any bad press comes your way you play the victim and cry how its so unfair that people only ever pick on the ps3.

this is not something that can just be swept under the rug and for all the love you fanboys gave this

abomination its time for you to own up and stop trying to pretend the issue never existed.

The great wisdom of gball seems to have come back. lair is not the game that defines the PS3, new games are never that, Games like GT, FF, GTA, MGS4, killzone and many other games that made the PS2 great are what will make the PS3 great.

You say that now. Trust me, half a year ago, Lair was included in that list.

Now it's not a defining game, sure, but SSBB would also "not be a defining game" of the Wii if got an average of 6.5 in reviews.

This is such a huge game that failed in a big way...it only came out a week ago, how can you just ignore such a game?

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

You're right.  I've also had a good laugh at Cruis'n Wii, Boogie, and even Bioshock.  I really don't care what system it's for, if something funny appears like"dummytext add real text here" I am going to laugh at it.  If a game like SSBB fails I'll probably be upset but I'll likely even laugh at that if something as funny as this.  I don't see why people are having such a hard time laughing at this.  It's like you tihnk if you laugh at it you're going to admite the PS3 fails when all you're really doing is just laughing at Lair.

If SSBB epic-ly FAILED, do you have any idea how many Sony fans would be eating up anti-SSBB news?

Now that's a crappy justification for why we're poking fun at Lair...but honestly, there's just a ton of news coming out for the game, and Cmon, it just came out, it's not like it's been much more than a week.

Why would anybody want to do that? Unless SSBB is just plain terrible, those games are SO much fun. Online or not, I can't wait for it.
