Rol is on form !
@1337 gamer: I have to ask you a question; where did the PS360 audience come from? Are they new to games or existing audience that upgraded from last generation consoles and which console the current PS360 owners played last gen, if they upgraded?
Ei Kiinasti.
Eikä Japanisti.
Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.
Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
Why are you asking me a question that nobody knows the answer too? Especially when its irrelevant. Facts are facts and bloody violent and vulgar games sell better on the PS360 so i just assume that it (madworld) will sell better on those platforms. Like i said its JUST AN OPINION.

@RolStoppable
yeah i can agree with that but still because all games take different amounts of money to develop its easier to make the the successful claim based on a constant figure. In this case its sales. But i guess i agree with you.
However this argument has so far been based strictly on sales and thats why im using the 1M sales as cutoff.

Well, the way I see it is hardware doesn't sell software. It's the other way around.
Why do you think there was such a commotion over exclusives early on in this generation? Why do demographics buy a system to begin with?

To be blunt, 1 Million is a moronic cutoff for a game in particular a game with the development costs of the Wii ... At 1 Million sales you're pulling in (as a publisher) somewhere between $15 Million and $25 Million in revenue, and a large portion of Wii games cost less than $5 Million including marketing costs. In no way should a 400% return on investment be required to call something successful.
In contrast, there are many PS3 and XBox 360 games with development budgets that surpassed $40 Million ... Is it fair to call those games successful when they only covered 50% of their costs?
1337, I'm typing from my PS3 so I don't feel like I can express the points needed for you to critically rethink your reference points. But right now I can say your imagination rocks.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:
@1337: The reason i asked is, that so far the only real evidence we have is, that the games in question sell better on PS360 because there's more of them on the HD consoles. If we look at the violent games sales on PS2, you'll notice that they didn't do too good either. Not that i would see any value in violence in games, but in the question of Madworld, there's very little incentive to buy the game outside the violence. I do believe that Madworld could have sold worse on PS360, due to the B&W cartoony look, on consoles which strength is to push as much stuff on screen as possible.

@bdbdbd
I disagree with you but thats fine. Opinions are opinions and im fine with you expressing yours. Perhaps Madworld would have sold better on the PS360 or perhaps not. Theres no way to tell because it is a wii exclusive so all we can do is speculate
