All over the internet the one fault that obvious about the PS3 is it's price. So i'm just asking if we weren't in a recession; specifically north america ( where sony is doing bad compared to its competition), do you think the hardware and software charts would look differently. Also if the recession passes by early 2010 doyou think we'll see a change in Sony's hard/software sales.

Maybe a slight change probably nothing drastic, the other consoles would probably get a little boost aswell. But Sony might be actually making money off the PS3 now if it wasn't for the recession. They must be close to breaking even by now.

I think it would be doing better, but not by much.

If there was no recession, the rest of Sony would not be losing billions of dollars, and the Dollar would not have tanked vs the Yen. A price cut for the PS3 would be much more probable.

All the consoles will be affected by it. PS3 will be most though, with the obvious high price.
One thing playing in Sonys favour... when the pricecut does finally hit, people will see it as a REALLY good deal, in the midst of all the bad money news, a $100 pricecut in NA would probably double PS3 sales for a few months.
