Wow that was a huge update this thursday, what was it like 4 demos? and A new game, and an add on for online on tekken 5? Dam Im amazed.

The game does look intriguing, though. I might have to check it out before Halo 3 swallows my soul for two months.

It hasn't released to the uk otuside of the psn yet.

... so im guessing we'll have around 50k sales by the time stores close on the pacific coast, since this is the first full day of sales.

Other days weren't full? Warhawk was released 28th, and today it is its 3rd day (in Japan and USA online, and in USA on Blue-Ray). And today the game was released also in Europe.
So 35k isn't very good, I thought it would sell better. But it's true that some people ordered the game and didn't get it yet, some maybe didn't have time to log in yet. So it sold more than 35k but still the figure isn't very impresive.

Actually, 35k sounds pretty bad for an "AAA" game and a "system seller".

I would be surprised if this game does over 500k now.

What kind of counter is it?

Does it count existing connections or unique connections?

For instance, if 34,000 are playing today, and 24,000 are playing tomorrow, will the counter only say 24,000?

And, if I play today, and then wait 24 hours, and play again tomorrow, am I counted again?

if the count is anything like most online games its only showing who's online at the moment..

Which is right around what I always thought it would sell.

Online-only games are not system-sellers. Period. End of story. Name me ONE online-only game that has not only succeeded but thrived in the gaming market. Shit, name me one that just succeeded, much less thrived, excluding MMOs (of course).

According to sony fans this is a "system seller". Hell, according to them all Lair, heavenly sword, and plenty of other games are system sellers, which is laughable at best.

500k or less sounds right for this game. Not 2 million+ like they are predicting.
