If this were at the launch of the PS3 I might agree, but the headset support for the PS3 is simple outstanding today. The cheap headset that came with Warhawk works perfect, no problems at all, and you can use it with any bluetooth device.

The PS3's sold in Europe may be configured differently, or it could be the overall quality of the connections in each country, or preferred mics in America may be better quality than ones sold in Europe... But most likely it's just because us Americans are better 
XBox 360 headsets work on PSN great news.
BTW: Sony does not get money because a kid was smart enough not to buy a $60 Sony PS3 headset which is bundled with a mediocre game for $60.
$60 could be better off spent on a new upcoming video game.
Edit: Headset is not even bundled with PS3 and you have to buy a HDMI cable separately. PS3 fans are getting really petty. People are not giving Sony more money to buy expensive Sony add-ons. Let's create a thread and complain to the world.

Which is why I love the PS3 online, every moron online on the 360 has a headset, only half of them do on the PS3....
On topic: I've gotta get me one of those official sony bluetooth headsets, apparently they're great for mobile phone usage as well.

The wireless headset for 360 connects to the first controller that doesn't have a mic plugged in. I have seen these weird scenarios where the only controller still on (and the one I'm using) is #2, yet the headset picks slot 1 - but the slot picked is identified on the lights on the headset and it's trivial to change it (just press the sync button to cycle through them).
That said, I must say that the PS3's approach with letting you use standard bluetooth headsets is much better.
The offical bt headset is very good. Bit uncomfortable at first but I'm used to it now. 25 pounds it cost me

I have the Official SONY headset [Came with Socom] and the PSEye. Both work flawlessly for me. Sound is Decent on the Headset, PERFECT on the PSEye.
