But I believe this is the first time ever (at least in a long time) that it has been put on a release list. This is very good news. :D

Nope, sorry. It was on the same sort of release list in both 2007 and 2008.

Kirby was supposed to be released in the holiday season of 2008 (Miyamoto words). Suddenly, it disappeared (it is normal, Nintendo knew that Mario kart and Wii fit were enough to sell Wiis at Chritsmas) until a few weeks ago that was announced on a release date list for Japan this year.

Of course, some of you are right, Nintendo do not need to use the hype of their main franchises until Wii popularity decreases.

I sometimes think Nintendo should have some kind of fright to wake up and start caring about their fans.

Nevertheless, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Kirby this year. Disaster popped resurfaced out of nowhere, right? Given how secretive Nintendo have been as of late, it wouldn't really come as a shock if they've gotten a handle on Kirby Wii and actually gotten somewhere in the development of it.
