Take my love, take my land..

Is there any way a government can give out cash/credit that HAS to be spent on consumption, rather than saving/paying debt?
I think that it's fascinating how the US got into this mess because of irresponsible spending, and the Japanese and Germans are suffering because of paranoid saving.
This all ties into the fact that despite rising profits around the world after the economy rebounded from 9/11, the wages of the average workers didn't go up, hence people not spending as much/relying on credit to spend.
Fuck Aso though, the sooner he gets out of office, the sooner Japan can actually get some work done. As far as I know though here in America, he's a lame duck.

From Google: 12 000 Japanese yen = 156.113327 Canadian dollars
YOU BORKED THE FORUMS!!!
OT: Not a lot of help but might get a few people buying random crap they dont need which will give a few businesses some money.
MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"
Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000
Why don't they send some of that cash my way? I'll buy plenty of games produced in Japan.
You broke the first post, but nothing else...
OT: This is a crazy idea. 20,000 yen to every kid in Japan? Will that buy a DS?

It should do.
I think the Wii is 25,000 Yen, then the DSi is 18,000 Yen.... not sure how much a DSlite is.
