I mean what scope does a game mostly hyped online + a sequel of a franchise which has been classed as "disappointing" of selling PS3's??

Not at all, I'm just saying that so far this generation, you hear way more complaints about JRPGs than praises.

So, as someone who isn't into the genre, it sounds like the genre needs some good games, and not just the next "we-be-SE-and-we-be-needin-money-so-we-be-makin-tis-for-ya"/Final Fantasy game.

And again, my reading skills combined with this forum, has given me the impression that SE are nowhere near the quality developers they used to be. Again I will say, you should hope for some good JRPGs and not just SEs next attemt at raking in profits, because the game says "Final Fantasy" on the box.

EDIT: And I forgot to add, in no did I say the genre is dying, but I implied that there haven't been many good JRPGs around this generation, and if it wanted to pick up more sales, it would need some quality titles on the shelves.

On a Halo Wars related sidenote, its interesting to see that no other RTS on the Xbox 360 (which sells them best) sold more than around 20k first week in Others.

That means Halo Wars outsold the best sellers by a factor of around 8.

My work PC isn't showing the avatars for some reason so I can't even see that you have a KZ2 avatar.

It also seems as though you are mistaking internet hype for world hype. Not once have I heard anyone mention KZ2 outside of these forums, meaning in the real world. It is like I said in another thread, at my local Gamestop there was zero ads for KZ2 when I picked it up on release date yet there was an overly ridiculous amount of Halo Wars ads.

We will see when America sales come around. Going by what people outside the internet see, we will come back to this debate.

Real world advertisements > Internet hype.

Halo Wars did awesome for an RTS. This should be universally agreed in my opinion.
