| starcraft said: Who is hating on Killzone 2? I have an avatar that exists to acknowledge it is a quality title. The first post I made said the game sold well. But to suggest it came anywhere near the hype that surrounded it is folly. I'm criticising the PS3 fan culture that led to a game being overhyped leading to an immediate turnaround in forum attitudes from "this game will be massive and shift consoles like no tomorrow" too "this is MORE than what we expected." I agree that certain games on other consoles have seen the same effect, but Halo Wars is a poor example. The title received almost no hype until it's release was imminent (indeed, until the demo was released) and has done very WELL based on it's genres sales and hype level.

My work PC isn't showing the avatars for some reason so I can't even see that you have a KZ2 avatar.
It also seems as though you are mistaking internet hype for world hype. Not once have I heard anyone mention KZ2 outside of these forums, meaning in the real world. It is like I said in another thread, at my local Gamestop there was zero ads for KZ2 when I picked it up on release date yet there was an overly ridiculous amount of Halo Wars ads.
We will see when America sales come around. Going by what people outside the internet see, we will come back to this debate.
Real world advertisements > Internet hype.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
