Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft Hates Lesbians

There was absolutely nothing wrong with what this girl did and honestly MS are very wrong for treating her this way.

Why should she have to pretend she is something she is not? Like already said, this was in her profile, you know the thing that is supposed to be "About You"?

She did just that, gave some info about herself and she was punished for it.

I can guarantee you if someone profile says "Straight" MS would do nothing.

Now really, is that fair?

This girl isn't the problem here, the problem is the whiny little homophobes who hold themselves on some sort of pedestal.

Beat me to it. I was about to say the same things.

What Microsoft did was wrong.

If other people are allowed to put on their profile that they are straight,Lesbians should be allowed as well.

Err... dunno about you guys but if I was gay I'd state that in my profile as well. Not because I'd be looking for attention. I just think it's an important fact.

You know, heterosexuals just don't have that in their profiles because well - it's rather common. Hell, we're human beings. Almost each time we talk to a person (of our prefered sex) we think of him or her as a potential partner, don't we? So why should homosexual people not be allowed to express their drives? (I'd take any bet the average female vgchartz user has a hell of a lot of profile views )

Way too miss the point entirely.

The problem with your post is you are hypothetically assuming we live in a utopian society where the ideals of life always prevail over the reality we live in. Nobody would do anything because straight is the "default". Most people are straight, there are still some people who are offended by homosexuality - like it or not. Microsoft don't want to create a shit storm from one in a tea cup. So it's common sense that we should all play happily along and not mention such person topics in a gaming profile.

You guys are unbelieveable. This isn't even about valuesmoralsrespectfairness, why play that old card?

I did not miss anything.

The rest of your post doesn't matter.

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Do you have anything to contribute here besides reposting whatever bad Microsoft PR you can scavenge from the darkest corners of the web?

ROFL @ the one about MS bribing someone to put Qur'anic lyrics in LBP.

And isn't it against the rules to start a thread and simply post a link? IIRC, you're supposed to add your own thoughts or at the very least C&P the article.
