This should be fun--looking forward to contributing

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Now we have the proof: Brett bodysnatched ioi!!!

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")

Wow, that is quite a change! Hopefully it will make the site all the better!

If I had to say one thing I would want for VGC (which I could quickly come up with), it would be to have some use for the VG$. Exchanging it for real stuff hardly seems ideal, and I would never expect that, but you could make it so maybe we could administer it ourselves for some things.
Like, making a tournament in some game, and you could say that every participant had to give 50VG$ to participate, and the rewards would be distributed according to people's final ranking in the tournament.
Give people the tools to administrate something like this, or just so the VG$ can be used in bets, that would be nice too.

EDIT:

I wandered this too

Wow. Big risk. Does VGC generate enough revenue to support you?

Does VGC 2.0 use fancy web technologies?

Wow! Massive change for you then, Bret! Fulltime dedication, that calls for even more effort from contributors and users, this will be one of the best game related websites in the world within a couple of years and I can't wait to come along for the ride there!

If you need news contributors or anything, just send me a PM, I'd love to write little tidbits for this site (I'm sure there are plenty other as well).

yeah i think we should get more people contributing, i would quite like to contribute more for example. not sure what i could do, maybe some articles on the latest news. or  maybe some blast from the ast type thing where i look at the games of last gen. whatever people think will be good really

nintendo fanboy, but the good kind

proud soldier of nintopia

Well a layout change would be nice as long as the site doesn't lose it's speed like ign

How can you possibly misspell QWERTY? It's spelled correctly on the damn keyboard.

As many others have stated, the title had me wondering if this was going to be a bad news thread but fortunately my worries were taken care of.

I look forward to seeing the changes this site brings. This is in my opinion the best gaming site on the net right now because it offers such a wide variety of content that other sites do not.

Keep up the excellent work Brett and good luck with the transition.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Good news. Thanks ioi and staff.

*edit* And in terms of content add some use to the VG$ if possible.

Don't Worry.....Be Happy
