Would there be any interest in the ability for users to write blogs on VGC?

Personally, I'm not interested in blogs. To me, they are much more relevant for people who have something to actually say, like when news about VGC are posted on the front page, the Playstation blog posts stuff about games etc.

Customization is a good way to go though, the VGC sigs are one of the coolest features I have ever seen on any forum, I absolutely love them. I'm not sure what to suggest for this kind of thing though

Will VG start charging a one time $5 fee for creating a new account and having access to the data?

Some forums have started to do this (sites with just forums) to help stop spammers and to keep banned and perma banned members of the forums. Unless of course they want to fork over an another $5 to create a alt account.

Edit: I'm actually going to start a thread about this!

Maybe. A better alternative than to start threads with topics like "I finished game x" or "I bought product x".

I think an actual betting system involving VG$ would be cool. Theres that many bets between people That it should be worth it

How many video game websites have you gone to where you've felt compelled to read the blogs of random user #158412?

vgChartz needs more content but it needs meaningful/useful content.  Giving people yet another place to blog probably won't generate too much of that.

Maybe. It would be nice to have a place to ramble. But I would think any blog space would have to revolve around the theme of the website and not necessarily just be random thoughts.

You almost scared me with your thread title.

VGC2.0 will be HUGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also was scared for a minute...

Anyway, I doubt I would use a VGChartz blog much, but perhaps others would. Or perhaps an expanded profile section could serve a similar purpose
