Yeah, you're right. Every publisher should provide preorder numbers, even if it's something ridiculous like 1,000,000 preorders for Two Human. Even if they did provide numbers, everyone would just complain about how they're retailer numbers. You really think Sony is going to bother gathering preorder numbers from dozens of different retailers when there's going to be more and more as the release approaches?

Mike: The preorder numbers weren't bad, they just weren't on the level of most blockbuster releases (Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Gears of War, etc.).

wow... because some gamestops dont have more than 100 preorders the preorders in na arent impressive

people hate on SONY even when they give numbers by saying

"ZOMG SONY = PR fools.....they didn't even say whether its people or retail pre-orders"

either way someone says "sony did it again"

That's because they say the number the stores ordered, like the million in Europe for GT5:P

Yet another strike against Sony.

If you want to talk pre-orders up thats great, just give us some idea of what those numbers are please. Until then, I will keep this filed under more bs from Sony.

Sony isn't giving numbers for a number of reasons in my opinion.

#1. People will just bitch about how they are being arrogant.
#2. People will say "It is retail pre-orders".

These are the first two that come to mind going by the EU 1M pre-order thread.

Everyone hates that Sony was arrogant. Now they are just mad because this gives them nothing to bitch about.
