No surprises here, then. It got just what I expected, and an 8 is a bit too good on Eurogamer's scale - what I mean is that it's pretty close to what I though would be its average, but judging by the few Eurogamer reviews I've read, they know nothing of reviewing. They're too... casual. Maybe this game is too?
Anyway, either it didn't sound too good or Eurogamer failed to tell the right details. The review felt a bit... empty. Basically all I didn't know (or rather, remember?) is how good the battle system was said to be and unfortunately they didn't seem to tell too much about it.
Yeah, I'm kinda pessimistic about reviews these days. Gamespot was the first one, with the kick-case (basically bribes in my eyes), IGN the second with GTA IV and MGS4. Around the time of MGS4 (despite it getting a rather "real" score, the review felt so terrible) I noticed Eurogamer was pretty bad as well, and that's not just because of MGS4 but cause of some other games, too. Oh, and Gametrailers... They just feel wrong. If not for their non-corresponding scores and arguments, I'd be ready to say it's just opinions for them.
Oh, don't worry about the last paragraph. I'd rather write that now that when someone comes to whine about my opinion about this review. Personally I'm interested in this game but I want to see some real information and decent reviews first (and I'm afraid I'll have to wait for the western version first, too).
