Cloud wasn't even remotely emo in FFVII. People need to hop off the bandwagon of conformity and formulate their own opinion of him.

Cloud was a slightly angry, non caring person for a huge chunk of the game. He rarely showed his true feelings like a real "man" is suppose to do(right?). The only time he actually broke down and cried was when his LOVER DIED!!!!!!! You get that, DIED!!!!!! You people love to pretend as if you are so hard that nothing of the like could ever phase you. The person you love being slayed right in front of you is enough to make anyone just a little bit sad.

The "Emo" like persona didn't enter till Advent Children. That is because it is a very depressing time of the world. 2/3rds of the planet just got wiped out by Meteor. There is a disease spreading around that is killing children and adults alike, spreading like wild fire. People are living on the streets. He is still partially greaving over Aeris's death(you know, that really tragic one from the game). Not to mention he is also infected with geostigma so he feels he is going to die like everyone else.

Thats like fucking telling a cancer child, "MAN UP!!! Everyone has to die sometime!"

I agree with you on that one Cloud is far from emo but still Yuri is more awesome.You have to play the game to know what I mean.

 i can still debate you his an asshole and cloud is somewhat a fragile person ,but that is only casue *ULTRAMEGASPOILERS* he had recently come out of that cryogenic genova infusing thing, and he(and also zack thats why he died at the final battle) was having genova contamination or something

you are very sensitive if you think Yuri is an asshole.And now I'm starting to doubt you played the whole game.

 

 

i'm just saying, compare yuri with every other main character and he will indeed feel very different, maybe asshole was not the right word, he is more of a bully, a really rude one, he still is nice to play though, a lot nicer than emil

I am assuming you are talking about the one with the Epic Chick Fight Between the FF Girls(Tifa, Yuna, Rikku,etc) vs the DOA girls. The video is called "Dead Fantasy II" , the sequel to "Dead Fantasy I". They were created by Monty Oum, an underground animator who is also well known for the Haloid videos(Master Chief vs. Samus).

The Dead Fantasy series is his most popular one, for good reason. The battles are epic and perfectly choreographed, actual game developers/movie directors could take some notes on how a battle scene SHOULD be from this guy. If you have not seen them already I advise going to check out Dead Fantasy series on Gametrailers.com.

He is not a bully either.His like a big brother to karol, His always helps Estelle make a chose for herself, His talks with with Judith and Flynn is always deep and if it was not for the actions he took during the story alot of people would have suffered.He also looked out for the people of the lower quarter.

I haven't played ToV but based on the picture of Yuri in this thread and my love for FFVII, I'll go with Cloud all the way.

Omnislash can do up to 149985 damage... plus using the well known "mime+counter glitch" it can do waaaaaaay more than the 149985, actually around 1.2million. How much damage can the Savage Wolf Fury do?

@g-value our qoutes are getting to long, to explain in short why i'm against yuri, its becasue his type of character is not well suited to be a main protagonist. he is afterall "badass" as some say so he would've fitted perfectly as a secondary character or as a rival to the main character.
