Again, I don't think people here understand that RPG's are played for their storylines and cutscenes...So a lot of each of those is a good thing, not a bad thing. Hence why I loved disc 2, but disliked disc 1.

That´s the problem. RPG are supposed to be played. But 2nd disc isn´t played, it´s watched.

No, RPG's are supposed to be enjoyed for their storylines. To complain about too much story and cutscenes in an RPG is like complaining about blood in a splatterhouse.

I was quite enjoyed with storyline, in that aspect, it was brilliant game. But I want some game too. If I want only story and cutscenes, I will watch some movie, or read the book.

It´s still RPG (G as GAME).

I never play a game in the Grandia series but I know that Grandia III's story is considered to be decent in the first half and crap in the second half.  For GI and II, it is debatable as far as I can tell.

Like I said, I never played any of the games in the series.  However, I heard that Grandia I's story had a disjointed feel and that Grandia II's story was cliched.  That is unless I heard wrong.  This is was I heard from some GameFaqs users.  But hey, I am not critizising you in anyway for liking Grandia I and II's stories.  If I was, you might as well critizise me as well since I thought Star Ocean 3 had a decent story and I know they are quite a few that though it was terrible.

I've got to agree with you. Its a crime that so many people haven't played it. Its a masterpiece.

Well I'd love to try it out. Unfortunately these old games that people miss tend to cost an arm and a leg. Considering there are so many games out there I want to buy for a future playthrough....it's tough to justify the cost.Heck, I have almost a dozen JRPGS from the PS1/PS2 era in my backlog that run $40.00 on average.

Planescape is going for $50.00 used on average.

Person 1: Does Valkyria Chronicles have trophies?
Person 2:  No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?
