Well, I am a fan of the Halo cannon, and I like RTS titles.  However, I feel this title falls short of what I want in an RTS.  It isn't a title I feel like I must buy.  I will call a spade a spade when I can, like Halo 3 does NOT have great graphics.  I do hope Halo Wars sells well enough, so we get more attempts to get RTS titles on consoles.

Which is the way it should be.  A 7 is supposed to be an exemplary game that doesn't necessarily do anything completely revolutionary.

OT: Well, despite never being able to get into any RTS ever, I played the Halo Wars demo with an open mind, and I found it very enjoyable.  The controls are simple, and I get to command large armies to do pretty much everything I did o my own in the three FPS games  

I don't want to have to do the upgrade PC route to play RTS, since I have next gen consoles, so I want good RTS on consoles, so I can play them.  A console is a PC without a keyboard or mouse, designed to play games.

Maybe I just have played too many RTS games on PC but I hated controlls even though they might be good for console RTS.

I hope when MS designs the xbox 720's controller, they can make it fold out into a keyboard and mouse. Implausible, yes. Cool, no doubt.

Ok, I read the entire thread and I think I understand what you are saying.  Please let me know if this is right.

1. Accuse the op of being a troll.  Do this as often as you can throughout the thread.
2. Mention both Haze and Lair.  It's even better if you can do this while staying somewhat on topic.  Mention them in the same post if possible.
3. Reinforce the fact that you love the game.  This needs to be done as much as possible and by many different users.
4. Mention the Killzone demo in a negative way.  You will probably get some flak for being off topic, but it is necessary.
5. Prove the op's opinion as wrong.  This is hard to do, but not impossible.
   
6. Complete an unscientific survey based upon other forum posts in a different thread and use it as proof that the game is epic.

By the way, the Halo Wars Demo was epic.

NVM got it , it would probably be number 4 because if the user was saying something negative about KZ2 he would have been called a troll on the first post even though he shows and explains his reasons for hating it.

Ok//so you played the demo and you say its horrible because your surprised at how RTS rely on mouse and keyboard?//I'm certainly confused//you didn't mention anything bad about it other than saying something in regards to the genre//if you say the controls are horrible//your certainly wrong//Ensemble Studios built this game from the ground up with the 360 controller in mind//I actually think the controls are user-friendly.

i think the demo kicked ass, loved every minute of it.
