lol wat. 20x? More like 10x.

But the PS3-DS difference is bigger.

Like I said, it doesn't matter.

Yeah but the PS3 userbase is big enough to sell block-buster amounts

I agree it would sold very well on the 360 too, given what it is, but theres no glossing over that the Wii has a 15x higher userbase.

Had Fragile sold that poorly on the 360 at the time it wouldve been a shocker.

So now we're down from 20x to 15x? XD

Any system can sell blockbusters.

And now your grasping for straws = | ANY system can sell blockbusters? You do realise blockbuster is around 300k upwards? How on Earth was your mind able to compute a 500k userbase selling that much?

I said up to 20x, regardless 15x is a big number. Lets make it clearer shall we? The 360 userbase around the time was something like 500k, currently the Wii userbase is upwards 7 million so my 15x is actually a conservative guess, or are you going to yet again cling onto that fine detail because youve so badly been proven wrong?

You are clearly overestimating Eternal Sonata and the opposite for Fragile. As ive said, both games are indeed quite out of the ordinary and on top, Eternal Sonata released on a console at a time when only online retailers and big stores in the big cities stocked the console and software

I dont know what youre trying to say, youre either downplaying Eternal Sonatas success or downplaying Fragiles failure. Im not saying it has no way of selling, because it will over time, but its first week sales are a joke, and even more so given the userbase (oh wait, userbase doesnt matter to you, 500k userbase can sell 600k software, because urgh userbase doesnt matter...)

You're not even making sense.

No blockbuster was on the 360 when it was at 500k to begin with. ES was no blockbuster.

Your right.

Wait, what are ya'll arguing about now?

I wonder what kind of budget Square-Enix had for Infinite Undiscovery and Last Remnant considering both have sold over a half million (well IU almost, but probably will in a few months give or take). Considering they were "money hatted" and atleast TLR will be on PC and PS3 eventually.

It's just that simple.

There are many reasons why fragile sold less than Eternal sonata first day. Firstly Eternal Sonata had much larger budget no matter how you put it, even when fragile probably has a larger budget than most wii games. Secondly it was a traditional rpg while fragile is an Action Adventure/RPG hybrid. Thirdly fragile is far more niche and in a much more niche genre. Eternal Sonata was the first "real" Jrpg this generation. Fragile had small shipments and probably will sellout its first week shipment. Wii games are much less front loaded no matter the genre. Fragile has much less advertisement. I could go on with many more reasons. Also I never seen the Userbase x times more as a valid excuse because it doesn't matter. What matters is how much profit a game makes, or how less it loses, and to a lesser extent how much it sells(which is tied in with profit). Fragile will probably end up with Eternal Sonata numbers at the end of its lifetime in Japan and still made much more money/lost much less money than Eternal Sonata just because it had a smaller budget. Also I bet you Fragile would have sold just as much on PS3 or 360 if all the conditions were the same on those consoles. So no matter how you put it the Wii is a equally or even better choice to put a Rpg on than the other consoles. An existing series will probably sell just as much as it would on the other consoles as well. Just look at how much the Spin-Off Dawn of The New World sold in comparison to the main series title, even in regions where the difference between the 360 and Wii isn't as massive.

Why is it that everyone automatically thinks that all games will be going to the Wii? As of now you would be hard-pressed to find a 3rd party game that has gone passed a Million hell I think Dragon Quest Swords was the only 3rd party game on the Wii to even go past 500k!

I can understand games becoming Multiplat between 360 and PS3 but its automatically coming to the Wii? thats just absurd and faulty logic.

What PS3 or 360 third party game  other than MGS4 has passed 500K in Japan?

To be honest I think the next persona game will be PSP, or PSP/Wii multiplat. After that Wii and HD multiplat is about equal chance.

Well, most of those IU sales were sold at a much lower price, but I'm not sure how many of those orders were done with a $60 price tag or a $40.

Im not talking just Japanese sales. I'm talking About Every part of the world.? On the Wii if a game isnt made by Nintendo or has DQ or FF in its name it wont be selling alot World Wide on the Wii.

What games didn't sell 1 million that should have? (being realistic, meaning not counting niche games by niche developers examples are No More Heroes and Zack and Wiki). On the other hand most of the good games on the other consoles are third party so they will sell well. I don't feel like explaining this, it feels like this comes up everyday.
