Microsoft already has AAA shooter exclusives coming out of their ears. I don't think there will be much to fear from Killzone 2 because its coming so late in the scene and there are so many awesome shooters due 2009 (COD MW 2 & Halo ODST + Unannounced likely) and so many awesome shooters released in the past.

Between COD, Gears, Halo and other games like L4D is there a significant margin of people without consoles who are also shooter fans? I doubt it.

Killzone 2 is an awesome game no-doubt, but its coming to a genre that Microsoft pretty much has wrapped up in their sweaty little hands so it can't change the tide significantly.

m$ isnt scared of killzone2 at all, why should they be. the 1st game sucked very badly and the hype for killzone 2 is mostly because of the bad hype it got for misleading the media and fans that it could look like the trailer back in 05. it does look very good, but it is on par with gears 2 and in no way does it look better than gear2 at all. guess it goes to show u that it took guerilla 4+yrs to make killzone 2 look as good as gears 2, and epic did make gears 2 in around 2yrs. and besides halo wars will out sell killzone 2 by at least 2 million lifetime sales because halo series is quality while killzone is not.

Of course if Killzone 2 "only" sells 2.5-3 mill, MS has nuffin to worry about.

But it's possible they are trying to do what they can to kill a lil of the hype in fear of Killzone 2 actually becoming a 5 million seller.

HAHAHA!! Yeah of course they did. They'ed give up all of their 15 million selling titles so they can acquire the 3-4 million selling Killzone 2. Yup they are shaking in their boots alright!

All in all, this post is funny and was entertaining to read. I wish you luck with this because if Killzone 2 flops commercially or critically, this post will be a main cause for the epic backlash placed upon pre-hype fans of the game.
