Blame Sony not EA.

Um xbot, why not blame ea for their mediococy ?

Since PS3 started outselling 360 you really have gone all out to be a xbot fool.

And we'll blame 2K as well since they're having the same problems with their sports games? We'll blame Epic for not having the Unreal Engine 3 at a level of performance similar to the 360's? Hey, lets just blame all third parties for the problem rather than where it squarely belongs, with Sony. It was Sony who chose to go with the Cell dispite the fact that they must have known that a lot of third parties would have to invest extra time and money working on it and that's the reason for all of this.

P.S. I'll ignore the xbot insult since I know tensions are kind of high these days and people sometimes don't want to hear the truth.

Who do we blame for no NCAA Football 2008 on the Wii?

Edit:  Oh, right, that must be Sony's fault, too.

Windbane you have used that argument about 6 times in this thread, and I dont think stating it over and over will make it sound any more credible.

On-topic: EA sucks, I hate EA in every way imaginable, ALL of their games that I have ever played had major technical issues. Most games were unplayable until they patched it up and that would usually take several weeks. Hell, there was one EA soccer game that crashed my computer permanently. The only thing that keeps me tied to EA is their battlefield series because I find the concept pretty good and it is a fun game to play for 30 minutes or more.

And btw, they have adware in their only PC games. All of Battlefield 2142 users know what I am talking about. I still love that if you dont want them to track your internet usage while you are playing, then just dont go online on a game that was designed to be 100% online. You cant even play single player without logging into their servers.

How is it not credible? Am I making it up? No. The game is a 1-2 million seller every year guaranteed, and yet the Wii does not get it. It is the one sports title I buy every year, and yet it is not on the Wii.

People keep blaming Sony as if it's their responsibility to code for people. Look, the PS3 came out later, it's a new way to program. EA isn't devoting the resources they need to to make the games equal. However, the games are only marginally worse and probably not as big of a deal as Xbox to PS2 was. Next year will be interesting.

However, no one has an answer for my point, because the only one is that it is EA's fault.  As shams pointed out, EA is also to blame for Boogie (now being ported to PS2), SSX Blur, and Harry Potter.

What does that have to do with Madden 08's poor performance on the PS3?

Nothing at all :s

Maybe he thinks stupid wii fans saying whole the time that PS3 hardware is crap and that is why madden doesn't look so well  ..

and he wants his revenge by saying 'Nintendo wii is a big more crap hardware it can not play
NCAA Football 2008'.

Yeah it's sony responsability to make it affordable to code especially if you are the last one in term of market share so yes they are to blame..... the fact that EA suck is just the cherry on the cake..... but the pb is not only with EA almost every third party is reporting the same thing.....

why their game are not good or as good on PS3???  just because it's not worth spending the extra monney to make it look better..... end of the discussion we all know that..... and that's entirely Sony's fault.... especially since they are last one right now.... you can't force something on the third paries in any market if you don't dominate and especially if the production is higher than the competitors product.... a high school student with litlte knowledge in economy and business can understand and demonstrate it on a board....

and EA or any other third party is not supposed to devote anything to anybody if it's not worth it... and for that matter are not suppose to a game equal just for the pleasure of Sony or a customers....  that's a gamer fantasy, certainly not a business reality

Omg...

This thread is about EA. You are trying to make it sound like it is Sony's fault for EA's code. It's not.

Not even making a NCAA Football 2008 for the Wii is proof that EA is being lazy or just does not have the resources it needs.

How can you not release one of the best selling sports titles on the Wii?

Are you guys serious?

I guess the Wii is just too good for real sports games. Give me a break. If a game is marginally worse on the PS3 we'll bash Sony thread after thread but if EA DOESN'T EVEN MAKE A GAME for the Wii (that I'm pretty sure they've made on every system for over 5 years) we'll just say...nothing?

May I ask why you think that if Nintendo doesn't get a 3rd party game is proof that it isn't Sony:s fault? I personally blame N64 time for Nintendos lack of 3rd party support. Bringing this up is according to me just that someone wants to change the topic.
Sony is responsible for EA:s cod, BUT sony needs to show EA that it is necessary to code a better game. So far Sony is far from a position to get the support that the PS2 got. The cell is hard to programm for, white a userbase that mayby will sell around 500k against one that will sell 2 millions, why would you care to spend more?
I would say that Sony is responsible that they aren't delivering good devs tool. The many delays for PS3 games, the problem with the UT3 engine and so on clearly indicates that Sony got the dev tools out way to late.
EDIT:
By the way I do belive that EA is crap, but if you agree don't buy the game. Go and support some minior player instead!

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

Dude Wii gets NCAA next year so stop flipping out.

EA has absolutely no incentive to make Madden for PS3 the best ever. It has the smallest install base by about 6 million, and its harder to program for.

Tell me why they should put any effort beyond 'meh' if they aren't going to get any sales beyond 'meh'.

They are obviously sticking it to sony by advertising Madden and Xbox 360 together.
