What i mean by this is that, if u look on wikipedia and look at how many awards it has won, has it got the most ever?, making it one of, if not thee best game ever made.

Wow, I just noticed VG Chartz is in there!
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots can obviously win this award easily, because there are a lot more gaming sites nowadays compared to the time when The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released.
Actually, I think Ocarina of Time won "real" awards, not just GotY ones:

Seriously, how many of these sites existed in 1998?
This game deserves a billion more awards. It deserves every bit of praise it has gotten. I have never played a game that felt so perfect. It is as if everything is as Kojima intended it to be. Calling it brilliant is in an understatement. Deffinitley the best game I have ever played, a 360 port will hopefully surface eventually.
^^^@ above - The same argument can be used to say that FFVII, RE2 or Super Mario Brothers 3 is the most decorated game ever.

If you go back and look at how games like Half-Life and The Legend of Zelda OoT were received, they were pretty much universally acclaimed and were given every "Game of the Year" award that was available to them. While MGS4 has received quite a few awards, Grand Theft Auto 4, Fallout 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Gears of War 2 have also won a ton of awards this year
No? Super Mario Galaxy had a lot more, but no one bothered recording them like they did on that wiki page. Most game of the years (from previous years) have more than MGS4.

Nope, awards don't matter any more than reviews. That said, ignoring reviews, while accepting awards as an indication of best game of all time, is cherrypicking, as is picking out certain reviews.
As it stands, the only game with any sort of non-opinion based claim to best game ever is OOT, and in this climate that's how it always will be.
