Be nice for LO2 and Blue Dragon 2 for 360 but my bets seem to be on Wii and DS platforms ..

I'm sure most of the reviews stated that Kaim was immortal so cant be spoiler there..

Kaim is our first beleaguered soul. In the first few hours of Lost Odyssey, he is portrayed as a quiet loner, with little persona. But around six or seven hours in to Lost Odyssey, we get our first significant revelation about Kaim and suddenly the character opens up and we learn the pains of being immortal.

Well there is a new blue dragon game heading to the DS.. but yea I hope MS will still continue to fund Mistwalker for the 360 stuff..

@ Benga well I guess I completely lost the plot.. im too lazy and cold to scan the thread .. *goes back to FFXI*

Munkeh makes a good point. Given how well LO has done in the West and how strong BD was in Japan. MS will likely be willing to part with a significant sum of money to keep the sequels to those games on 360.

Doubtful. Where does the funding come from? Making games for the PS3 doesn't come cheap.

Xbox 360 remains the most likely choice given that they have had some success on the console, Microsoft still desires to be relevant in Japan, Microsoft's past willingness to fund their games, their DS games have bombed and the PSP traditionally hasn't been great at pushing software.

The only other possibility is the Wii.

     It is not any more expensive to make a game on the PS3 than the 360 -- just look at Valkyrie Chronicles.  And they wouldn't need to worry about not having had prior success on the PS3 because original JRPGs sell better on the PS3 than the 360.  Just look at White Knight Chronicles (and Famitsu didn't even give it a 10), but it has already become the best selling hd rpg in Japan of this gen.  If you only count White Knight Chronicles Japanese totals in its first two weeks, it has already sold almost ca third of what this site lists as the worldwide sales total for Lost Odyssey.  White Knight Chonicles=280,000; LostOdyssey = 870,000.  At this rate, I think WKC is headed for the 2 million mark with ease.

Mistwalker are making DS games so increase the popularity of their franchises in Japan, I am pretty certain the Rare have made DS games

And that game actually sold less than the 360 Blue Dragon.

Of couse LO2 is possible. Kaim is immortal after all. They could easily do a prequel set 900 years ago.

question... if its a 3 game contract and cry on was the third game but ms scrapped it does that count? If ms was the ones who canclled it I'd assume so.
