How much do you guys see WW PS3 sales by the end of 2011?

2M to 10M less than 360 sales.

Your projected yearly totals are very optimistic. I think they can keep the 360 around for longer than 2013 though with all the talk about 'forward compatibility' games and a big enough install base attractive to developers. A slow upgrade process by consumers is the business strategy MS needs to keep the premium live subscribers revenue streaming in. It's estimated that >30% of the install base is a 'gold' member - so if they can make it to 100 million that's 30million people paying MS ~$30(retail markup) = ~$900 million p/a plus being active content downloaders. They definitely won't abruptly stop support of this before the market decides so. I'm guessing 80 million tops though.

I believe you are off with the prediction. The market has widened but not by that much.

roughly 74 million 360's will be sold.

Unless M$ suddenly appeal to even more Sony fans and also the casuals then they will finish with this.

PS3 will finish with about 50 million.

The wii well that will get over 200,000,000.

I disagree with you as I feel Gran Turismo will become multiplat....that was one of the reasons in my title.

SONY will sell IP's I feel due to their finacial situation.

Gran Turismo was last gen the highest selling excusive.....so it = BIG BIG BIG

so a GT5 + xbox 360 Pro £129.99 bundle compared to a PS3 for say by then £229.99 with Gt 5 bundled

WHICH one will appeal to SONY fans....cheaper one or £100 costlier one...you do the math??

2010 - 9.2m = (LTD) 46.7m
2011 - 7.6m = (LTD) 54.3m
2012 - 5.2m = (LTD) 59.5m
2013 - 3.2m = (LTD) 62.7m
2014 - 1.3m = (LTD) 64m

Total Lifetime Sales ~64m

I really cant see Sony letting GT go. They have plenty of other studios they can let go. Saying that the amount of time Polyphony take on each iteration of GT I wonder if they are high on Sony's list for inhouse companies that make Sony the most money? It would be interesting to see a list in order of which First party devs make Sony the most money.

I believe Sony will have to sell at least 4 devs by the end of 2009. But Polyphony I cant see them going.

@ jerry - GT5 multiplat? Yes. Btw GTA 5 and Gears of Wars 3 will be PS3 exclusive, didn't you know?
