Because they're crazy.

It's a threat wether you'd like to aknowledge it or not.  If the Wii continues to gain marketshare at such a fanominal rate making games for other systems will not even be on the books.  A worst case outcome would be a sharp reduction in new IPs and a longer wait for sequals outside of the big guns.

Can you describe that worst possible outcome, please? What do you mean to much marketshare? Did the PS2 have too much marketshare? Why is it different now?

Because they don't understand why the Wii is so great.

Because their simple-mindedness deludes them from comprehending the Wii's success, and human nature dictates that whatever they don't understand, they hate and [want to] destroy.

If that is the worst case scenario then it isn´t that bad. I dont mind sequels as long as they are real sequels and not just updates. I mean why so many shooters? Why so many sports games? If only we could have a real sequel out of the 5 best of the best games of every genre then we will have plenty of good games to play in the limited time we have. We dont need crappy lazy updates of games every year but good games you could play and replay almost forever.

Some people like it, some don't. There sure were people in previous gens that didn't fancy this or that console, have we already forgotten? I don't care if someone likes or dislikes a product, it is their right to purchase, own and enjoy anything they like.
Of course, there are many who plain say they "hate the Wii" and give no reason other than "I just do", but there are also folks who just don't see the big deal and feel that Nintendo has let them down this gen, and the last group get clinged to the first and everyone assumes that anyone who does not dote on the Wii is some people hating, childish, sourmouthed moron.
That's a tad unfair.
For the record; I belong to the latter group, I came into the gen wanting to love the Wii (in fact, if you look at my Gamespot blog from 2006 you'll see who I was more excite for back then) but it failed to win me over.
Simple, but some just don't get it and I pity them.

No. Everyone can play our games. We just don't want OUR games becoming THEIR games. Ya dig?

In a nutshell, because some people think the dominance of the wii sales-wise will lead to more bad games and less good games. In reality though, its largely because those people dont have wiis and dislike other consoles *winning*

Agreed, 100% none of our HD games should go to wii in our opinions because then theres a good chance it wont go HD therefore we have a big problem.
