I somehow get the feeling that my thread has gone a little bit off topic. Anyway seems like most agree that Wii isn´t anymore of a fad than PS3/360 or any console before it.

I don't now how people can say its a fad. Isn't it passed the time limit that it can't be a fad.
But I can see how some people refuse to buy the Wii because of its popularity or something. Heck I refuse to ever own an Ipod of any kind because I think they are just some stupid "cool thing" like having abercrombie clothes or somethig like that.
But to me the Wii is different. I can buy a generic MP3 player, a phone, or many ohter devices that can play any song I want and any song the Ipod can play. Don't need any of the other features it may have. But the Wii is the only system that you can play certain things on it. YOu can't get them on the alternatives.
The people that called the Wii a fad are fanboys in denial. Making the same thread two months later isn't exactly going to result in those fanboys coming in contact with reality all of sudden.
