its beggers belif as to why ps3 fans arnt buying this its truly a remarkable games, just check the grafix and audio they are astounding.

gameplay is also very strong, on of my fav games this year.

the canvas engine is a ps3 hardware driven engine so they could make more games using it, mabey a jrpg or something. but then again it could be ported also.

I guess it's just not your cup of tea, but that makes me sad. Valkyria Chronicles is the one reason I'd want to buy a PS3, it was that fun.

Argh. Reading this thread, VC goes on my radar. I have TOO many games I haven't gotten to yet.

How did they give 50 characters well developed personalities and backgrounds?

I saw someone in here asking how "fleshed out" the character other than the main one were.

Well you need to look at it this way. How much can you flesh out the Characters other than main 4 (that I know of so far) of Welkin, Alicia, Rosie and Largo when all other character have the possibility of permanently dying? Same goes with Fire Emblem.

they do it through the characteristics of the side characters (such as allergies and people they get along with), through voice acting that actually gives you a feel for what type of person the side character is, by making sure no two look alike, and finally by giving you a bit of the background for each one.

Honestly I think it is mainly the voice acting and visuals that do wonders to give each character a personality of their own.

Demo is not an indication of how good this game is. I was impressed by the demo, but blown away with a full game.
