Many inaccuracies .Usually both the exclusives and the multiplatform games sell better than 2 to 1. Gears2 did 1.56 million , resistance 2 did 375k. Fable2 did 1million, LBP did 350k. COD5 did 1,46 million on the 360 and 597k on the ps3 . I am using examples of big games recently released . Another difference is that the 360 had games with huge NPD months from almost from day 1 . GRAW/Dead Rising/Oblivion had 450-500k first NPD months when the 360 userbase was tiny. Gears 1 had a 1 million first NPD month and a 850k second NPD month when the 360 userbase was between 3.5 and 5 million and the 360 was at its first year . After over 2 years on the U.S market the best NPD month a ps3 exclusive has had is R2 first NPD month with 375k copies sold . I might add that Japan is a small and irrelevant market for BOTH the ps3 and the 360 and ps3 has had more defeats than victories coming from Japan edit: actually best NPD month for a ps3 exclusive is MGS4 with 770k first month .My point still stands though.

Your post is only BS. And it begins right from the start. Care to explain how you compute the "better than 2 to 1" sales of an exclusive game? Seriously.

And if Japan was so irrelevant, why did you even post in this thread?

considering the PS3 was bough by the expecting FF and DQ fans, it should have a fair amount of JRPG fans in japan... so no, 200K is not a good number.

My point is ps3 can sell software. They did a hell of a great job selling MGS4. The PS3 knows how to sell software. Trust me. They will fdind out when Grand Turismo 5 and Killzone 2 is released.

MGS4 could sell on any platform. No coongrats to PS3 for that one.

blazinhead89 is a fanboy. So this thread should offend him. No wait...

I admit being partial to Sony, but I Know when to give a system props for something. For example Microsoft bought the online on a console to the mainstream and for that I give them props.

Considering the 360 has over 500k sales was due to people who wanted to play rpg's and the 360 is real cheap these numbers are fantastic.

First Ps3 RPG beats all other 360 RPGs when the only reason 360 sells is because of those rpgs. BD, LO, ToV, TLR, ES, IU....

Seriously... install base is no arguement for this debate. Only reason people have 360 in Japan are for these fantastic JRPGs exclusive to 360.

PES - 26:1 ratio
Gundam - 7:1 ratio...

Guarenteed if those RPG's released on Ps3 too the sales would be like

Blue Dragon
360 - 30k
Ps3 - 170k

ToV
360 - 20k
Ps3 - 140k

They should be glad they didn't then. Making them 360 exclusives actually made them more money than they would have earned by putting it on Ps3 as well!

Also, people being very happy about WKC sales is a bit odd. If it follows the trend in Japan, it is going to sell ~ 400-500K. That's decent, but nothing to jump for joy about (1/6 to 1/5 of the Ps3 owners buy the game...)

Meh, who cares when it comes to software sales neither Sony or Microsoft can touch Nintendo Wii fit cost $90US and it sold over 13 million copies already as a matter of fact I saw two people buying the game yesterday.
