Tough to imagine if they will ever have a million blockbuster in Japan considering what their user base would have to be.  That being said, they are committed to Japan and acutally improving in alot of aspects and it is good for all consoles they remain as they increase competition ie. they pushed JRPG games.

Is there a slightest possibility they could produce something that has far surpassing anything they have done before?  Hmmm, maybe if they they somehow tied  some sort of game into when they release Windows 7 (With free gold accounts)  How about those XNA creators in Japan making an OS-tan platform pantsu game or maybe ren'ai game with them.  It would sell like hotcakes over there

i dont even think Star Ocean is that big in japan compared to FF... I though it caters to the western market considering how well the last one sold on ps2

the 360 really lacks casual familly games that appeal to japanese.. its mostly a hardcore console especially with the SHMUPs released over there..

  They need to make a great golf game and something like harvest moon/animal crossing or even a pokemon type with online social functions to capture japans imagination....  but anyway million sellers in japan are probably out of the question for 360 now.. maybe next gen

I think Microsoft is expecting Gears to do well in Japan.

Hell, no. The JRPGs it has (and it has a lot) don't tend to sell great in Japan. Mostly due to the small userbase.

Hell, the PS3 will only have around 4-5 million sellers in Japan (GT5, FF13, FF Versus 13, X unnanounced game, Y unannounced game)

Short of Final Fantasy XIII somehow becoming a 360 exclusive, no, the 360 will never have a million seller in Japan.
