Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will fable 3 be the zelda killer?

The sentence of this thread doesn't make any sense at all. Zelda is an established franchise with millions of fans all over the world, it's own fandom, it has had a tv show, movies, merchandise, and many many more, while Fable II, while it's an excellent game, it's just a recent RPG franchise, which the first game did very little to captive new gamers to it.
So no, i don't think fable 3 will be the zelda killer, just like there won't be a FF killer, a halo killer, and anything killer.
Games are good as they are, just because you prefer one before the other, doesn't mean that it "kills" it

I'v heard the term zelda killer so many times come and go its kinda funny and sad at the same time. Zelda is a franchise that continues to grow each year. Zelda franchise has created a certain aura and respect around them that each installment will sell millions regardless.

I TAKE NO SIDES

To hear the word ZELDA is like GOD. And if you see this video you will understand why Fable will never be a Zelda killer:

Just imagine a fully orchestrated made for wii zelda version. There will be much crying and rejoice. Zelda is a legend in its own self.

I TAKE NO SIDES

Zelda is too well known compared to Fable for Fable 3 to "kill" it.

My thread for teaching VGC some Nigerian slangs

Fable and Zelda go for relatively different directions. Both are fantasy games with worlds of depth and well-drawn characters, but Fable is to Zelda (loosely) as GTA is to Crazy Taxi. Fable tries to be more badass, and tries to do more with it's open-endedness, aside from the fact that Fable is far more involved with it's skill development system

Zelda, however, triumphs through the same method that many Nintendo games triumph: depth through simplicity. The simple hook, the basic story, pulls you in, while the depth underneath keeps you there

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

fable 2 = 2.4 mil, itll prolly reach 3mil lifetime.

twilight princess = 6.66mil (lol?), will prolly reach around 6.75 mil lifetime.

i think not, at all, ever.
