Kantor said: Nobody said Home and Resistance 2 would be system sellers. I admit I joined this site after Lair was released, so I don't know if that happened. Lair really isn't that bad, judging by the demo. You just need to switch it to analog controls, and the game left is pretty decent, 7.5/10 material. |
So when people were claiming R2 might run with gears 2 on sales they must have just meant that no new gamers would be attracted to the PS3, huh? And wow, who cares how great you think Lair is (it's horrible, imo)? Wasn't the topic what would sell systems? And Home was Sony's answer to Live, one of the implicit system sellers for MS. Again, you are alone in thsi damage control me thinks.

People were claiming that R2 would sell on Gears 2 levels? No, I believe the equation was LBP>Gears 2>Fable II>Resistance 2, which ultimately turned out to be wrong, but that's not the point.
When did I say Lair was great? I said it isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. It wasn't a system seller, I know, I was going off topic a bit there. That's a game which was killed by hype.
Home was not "Sony's answer to Live", I don't see any resemblance. Live is an online service, Home is a virtual world. Pretty much nobody cared about it by the time it released, please find me ONE (non-CrazzyMan) post that states that Home would be a system seller. And you clearly don't have much faith in the 360 if you think it's selling because of Live. It's selling because of game library and price. Live is just a bullet point under the 360, like WLAN is a bullet point under the PS3.
I'm not damage controlling, I'm stating facts. The facts that it is ridiculous to compare Killzone 2 to Haze, Lair, Home and LBP. And remember, I never stated that Killzone 2 was a system seller. All I said is that it will outsell LBP, R2, and in doing so, outsell Haze and Lair.
