I'm about halfway through my very first play of Metroid Prime (I'm an instant fanboy). This boss is the only one so far who royally kicked my ass. I just can't seem to get to morphball fast enough to evade him when he rolls me over. I beat him the second time, but I had about 30 energy left and spent the last 15 seconds desperately dumping my missile supply into his torso.

Thanks to everyone for posting. It looks like a lot of you didn't get to play the originals. Now's your chance.

Aug 13: Metroid for 500 Wii points
Aug 20: Super Metroid for 800 Wii points
Do yourselves a favor and play these games. Metroid is difficult; Super is a little less so. Both are at least 15 hour games the first time through. It's all about getting 100 percent, though. Who knows how long that will take. No walkthroughs, people. LOL.

my first metroid game was prime I really didn't know anything about it until i saw the preview for it and it one of my favorite games of all time top 3 maybe. Prime was so good i didn't realize that it was near perfect until everybody started saying it was. Like i expected it to be or something.

super metroid is still to this day one of my favourate games ever. Its also the only game that my sister ever played apart from wii sports, tetris and brain training.

I think most ppl could agree that when it comes to updating a franchise to 3d, nintendo are the dogs bollucks. mario 64, metriod prime and zelda ocarina spring to mind.

ID LOVE to see a hd 2d metroid game on the wii after they make metriod prime 3

?source? I was just looking them up last night and didn't see any mention of dates? Looks like I will be plucking down another $20 for more vc pwnage. God the Wii is so much better than anything else EVER!!!!

EDIT: Nevermind, I guess I should just look at the shop channel more often. August is my new favorite month. F November.

My first metroid game was Surprise!, Hunters on the DS! I know I got into it a little late. As soon as the older Metroid games pop up on the VC I'll definately download them. If I liked Hunters 1 player story mode (I know a lot of people said the story mode was bad but it was my first metroid game so I didn't know what to expect.) then I will love corruption. BTW did anyone see the Preview of the game on the Wii shop channel. I just got a message from nintendo saying they had a preview of the game on the shop channel for free. A good way to advertise games.
